Becoming a foster family in Minnesota means providing a safe, temporary home to a child who cannot live with their own family. CPR training is part of the requirements, along with orientation on emergency procedures and infant-safety training. It is one condition within the licensing process rather than a qualification on its own.
急救要求
Under Minnesota Rules Chapter 2960 (requirements for foster family settings) and related licensing rules, a caregiver must be trained in CPR, including techniques for infants and children and the treatment of obstructed airways, with the training repeated at least once every two years and documented. CPR training must follow a recognized curriculum incorporating hands-on skills.
Foster caregivers must also complete orientation on emergency procedures and, where infants or young children are cared for, sudden-unexpected-infant-death and abusive-head-trauma training. These requirements are administered by Minnesota's licensing authorities and are in addition to the home study and family assessment — they do not by themselves qualify a person to foster.
